Your trip data should stay understandable.
This page summarises the current TestFlight behaviour. The public policy will be reviewed and published at a stable HTTPS address before App Store release.
Local data
Trips, score history and captured scorecard photos are stored on the iPhone. A normal app update is designed to retain them. Deleting the app may remove local data that has not been shared.
Account and shared play
Sign in with Apple is used for account identity. Shared trips send the player, round, group, Challenge and score information needed for invited golfers to take part. Private Apple credentials and unrelated local history are not included in a shared-trip payload.
Course cards
A scan is read on the iPhone by default. Explicit online reading processes the selected image only after consent. When a signed-in golfer confirms a complete tee, the structured club, routing, tee colour, rating, par, yardage and Stroke Index values may be added to the user-verified course database. The photograph and raw recognised text are not published through that route.
Beta testing applications
If you apply to test Golf Trip Captain through this website, we store your first name, email address, tester profile and consent time so we can assess your application and contact you about TestFlight testing. We do not add these details to a general marketing list. You can withdraw or ask us to delete the application by emailing golftripcaptainsupport@gmail.com.
Location and notifications
Location is optional and used to order nearby course results. Transactional notifications cover invitations, relevant Challenge updates and completed-round summaries. The in-app inbox remains available if Apple notification permission is declined.
Your choices
You can remove local scans in the app, sign out, or request account deletion after fresh Apple authorisation. Privacy and deletion help is available at golftripcaptainsupport@gmail.com.
